About Elizabeth
Elizabeth is a 26 year old living in isolation. She is currently working in extreme northern Alberta, teaching on a Metis Settlement. She enjoys her work, especially the opportunity she has had to design and implement the school's first daily photography program and subsequent student gallery of incredible artwork. Elizabeth complete her Master's degree in Education at Canisius College after going back for a fifth year at the University of Western Ontario to complete her Honours BA with a double major in English and MIT (Media, Information, and Technoculture). She hasn't a clue what she wants to do with her life in the long run, but thinks that teaching, writing and being a photographer might not be a bad idea. She has wanted to be just about everything from a firefighter to a casting agent to a stage manager to a teacher to a music supervisor to the owner of an indie music store to a cog in the wheel of corporate North America. So far she has succeeded in none of the above, but seems to be moving inexorably closer to the cog of corporate America fate. She spends much of her time in Northern Alberta, and the rest of her time in Not-Quite-So-Northern, Alberta. Travel is important to her, and she goes somewhere internationally at least once a year. She wants to move to Wales or Scotland terribly, but likes being able to live in gluttony in Canada. Reading, cross stitch, and dreaming take up much of her time, as does planning her next photojournalism trip - from tornado chasing to monsoon chasing to disaster zone coverage.
